Brantley Lake State Park

The Brantley Lake State Park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts in Southern New Mexico. Drop a line along the 31 miles of shoreline to fish for largemouth bass, channel catfish, walleye, and white bass. After a nice hike along a park trail, enjoy a picnic under a park picnic shelter or jump in the lake for a nice swim. Try dusting off your water skis for skimming across the smooth water.

Carlsbad Caverns National Park

The Carlsbad Caverns National Park is comprised of more than 110 limestone caves in the Guadalupe Mountains. Carlsbad Cavern is the most famous cavern in the park and was formed from aggressive sulfuric acid. The unique cave formations have been growing over the last million years, from rain soaking through the limestone and into the cave. Visitors on a self-guided or ranger-led tour see the stalactites, soda straws, flowstone, totem poles, lily pads and cave pools during their tour.
